Formation

Everyone who joins
deserves a clear path.

Formation is not a classroom programme. It is the journey every person walks inside a Sceptre Community — from the moment they arrive to the moment they lead others.

Structured. Intentional. Built around the life of the community itself.

The Eight Pathways

Growth is not just
one dimension.

Formation in a Sceptre Community develops a person in eight interconnected areas — so that growth is whole, not just spiritual knowledge. Every person touches each pathway at every stage of their journey.

01
New Life
Arriving, belonging, and beginning. The first steps of a life lived as part of a community with purpose.
02
Spiritual Formation
Inner transformation. Prayer, Scripture, spiritual disciplines, and the development of character over time.
03
Community Life
Learning to live with others. Accountability, shared values, and what it means to genuinely belong.
04
Service
Discovering gifts and beginning to contribute. Finding where your particular shape fits the work of the community.
05
Leadership
Taking responsibility for others. Learning to carry people, make decisions, and hold the community's direction.
06
Learning
Structured development through the qualification programmes. Knowledge that is applied, not just acquired.
07
Mission
Carrying the community's calling outward. Engagement with the neighbourhood, the workplace, the street outside the door.
08
Stewardship
Oversight and governance. Caring for the structures and people that make the community able to sustain and multiply.
The Qualification Programmes

Five levels.
One continuous journey.

Formation progresses through five levels — each building on the last. Movement from one level to the next is confirmed by a steward, not just measured by time. Progression is tied to genuine growth, not attendance.

All formation begins with a 12-week Induction — regardless of where a person comes from or what they already know. This is not remedial. It is the foundation everything else rests on.

Each programme develops a person across all eight pathways — so that qualification is not just a measure of knowledge, but of who the person is becoming inside their community.

How It Works

From arrival to advancement.

Formation is not self-directed. Every step is accompanied — by your community, your steward, and the structure of the programme itself.

Step 01
Begin with Induction
Twelve weeks inside a Sceptre Community. Not a classroom — a lived experience of community life, with structured reflection alongside it.
Step 02
Understand your shape
During Induction, a gifting assessment maps your spiritual gifts, natural abilities, and vocational skills — and places you on the right pathway.
Step 03
Enter the Certificate
Your steward confirms placement and enrolment begins. The Ichebo Platform carries your formation record and tracks your progress through the programme.
Step 04
Advance when ready
Progression to each new level is confirmed by a steward — not just by time. Growth is measured, not assumed. Each level builds on what was genuinely formed in the last.
The Tool Behind It

Formation needs
infrastructure to sustain it.

The Ichebo Platform carries the formation record of every person inside every Sceptre Community — tracking progress, supporting steward confirmation, and connecting each community to the wider network. It is what makes formation manageable at any scale.

Formation records for every person
Every member's journey tracked — pathway progress, steward notes, programme stage
Steward confirmation built in
Advancement is confirmed through the platform — no external system needed
Connected to the network
Your community's formation data connects to the wider movement — not siloed locally
Works offline
The Ichebo Desktop app operates without an internet connection — syncing when available
Available on every device
Web, mobile, and desktop — the platform meets people where they are
