The Ichebo Platform

The tool
behind the community.

Running a Sceptre Community involves governance, formation records, people management, and connection to a wider network. Ichebo is the platform that makes all of it manageable — without requiring a technology team to operate it.

How You Access It

Three surfaces.
One community.

Ichebo meets people where they are — on the desktop they use to govern, the phone they carry every day, and the browser they use when they need a full picture. Every surface connects to the same community, the same formation records, the same network.

Ichebo Desktop
For the leader who governs.

A standalone application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Full governance workspace — records, formation management, community oversight, and network connection. Works offline. Syncs when connected.

The primary tool for Community Coordinators and stewards.

Ichebo Mobile
For every member, every day.

Android-first, iOS to follow. The daily companion for every level of community member — formation activities, community updates, personal records, and communication. Designed for the phone already in your pocket.

The everyday surface for all members, not just leaders.

Ichebo Web
For the full picture.

Browser-based access to the full platform at app.ichebo.org — governance records, formation dashboards, community management, and network oversight. For stewards who need the complete workspace.

Level 3 and above, on any browser, any device.

Built for the Real World

Your community works
whether you have
internet or not.

Ichebo is built local-first. The device is the primary computer. Community records, formation data, and governance documents live on the device — not only in the cloud. The platform works fully offline and synchronises when a connection is available.

This matters for communities operating in areas with unreliable connectivity. It means a community in a remote township, a village without consistent internet, or a gathering that meets in a space with no signal loses nothing — and operates with the same capability as any other.

Works fully offline
All core functions operate without internet. Records are stored locally and synced when connection returns.
Syncs automatically
When connectivity is available, the platform syncs changes across all devices and to the network — no manual steps.
No data loss
Conflict resolution is handled automatically. Work done offline is never overwritten without review.
Designed for the Global South
Built with the realities of sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and similar contexts in mind — not retrofitted from a Western-first product.
Cloud as coordination, not dependency
The cloud layer handles network connection and compliance verification. Communities do not depend on it to operate daily.
Live & On-Demand Video

Your community is not
limited by distance
or budget.

A small gathering of fifteen people should have access to the same teaching, formation content, and network gatherings as any other community. With Ichebo, they do.

Live streaming and on-demand video are built into the platform — not added on. A community coordinator can broadcast a gathering, a teaching session, or a network event directly through Ichebo. Members watch live or on-demand, from any device, wherever they are.

This means a community in a township, a remote area, or a diaspora context can access the same content as one in a well-resourced city centre. The network becomes real, not just a governance concept.

Live gatherings
Broadcast your community gathering, teaching session, or network event live — members watch in real time from any device.
On-demand library
Every recorded gathering and teaching session stored and accessible. Formation content, discipleship material, and network teachings — available any time.
Formation content delivery
Video lessons linked directly to formation programmes. Progress is tracked — watching a lesson advances a person's formation record automatically.
Network broadcasts
Ichebo Christian Services and network leadership can broadcast across all communities simultaneously — shared teaching, governance updates, and movement-wide gatherings.
No third-party platform needed
No YouTube. No Zoom. No separate subscription. Video is built into Ichebo — delivered through secure infrastructure owned by the movement.
What It Gives You

Seven things your community
no longer has to improvise.

Every Sceptre Community faces the same operational challenges. Ichebo addresses each one — so leaders can focus on people, not administration.

01
Governance records
Every decision, every mandate, every governance document — stored, versioned, and accessible. No more losing institutional memory when a leader moves on.
02
Formation tracking
Every person's journey recorded — which programme, which stage, steward notes, and pathway progress. Formation becomes visible, not assumed.
03
Community management
Members, roles, gatherings, and activities — all in one place. No spreadsheets. No lost contact lists. A living picture of your community.
04
Network connection
Your community is not an island. Ichebo connects each community to the wider movement — shared resources, accountability, and network governance.
06
Scripture and study
An integrated Bible tool with personal annotations and community study records — connected to the Handbook and governance reference library.
07
Daily rhythm
A personal digest — the Paraclete — that surfaces what matters each day: formation activities, community updates, and governance items that need attention.
Who Built This

Built from
inside the problem.

Ichebo was not built by a technology company that identified the church as a market. It was built by practitioners — people who carry the same mandate as the communities it serves, and who grew tired of the absence of tools to act on it properly.
